IMC’s Summer Shows to Build on Winter Show Successes
The positive momentum of IMC’s Winter 2022 Atlanta Market and Las Vegas Market is carrying through the Summer 2022 editions. The continued high demand for gift and décor product coupled with increased comfort in traveling means we should expect more brands and more buyers this summer. Additionally, the market moments that attendees love — seminars, cooking demonstrations, parties and more — are coming back in full force.
What’s New
IMC hasn’t slowed down its improvements to its market and its buildings during the pandemic. In Atlanta, the multi-year Atlanta NEXT initiative has yielded a reorganized, easy-to-shop marketplace that encourages exploration for gift and home décor buyers. Retailers may find their favorite brands in a new location, positioned alongside complementary product. IMC has made major updates to the arrival experience in Building 1 and the multi-year lobby renovation project is nearly done with the final phase to be completed in Winter 2023.
The Las Vegas Market experience has been transformed in the past two years with the opening of the new Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas. The 315,000+ square foot facility brings Las Vegas Market’s temporary collections from the Pavilions to the market’s entrance. Connectivity with Building C creates a cohesive experience that encourages buyers to shop both showrooms and temporary exhibits. Additionally, a new central registration area is in the Expo.
Juniper Market Kicks Off a New Era
The launch of the JuniperMarket, a new B2B ecommerce marketplace powered by IMC, also has jumpstarted a new era for wholesale buying. JuniperMarket allows retailers to buy — anytime and everywhere — while maintaining the important rep relationships they build at market. Buyers can use in-person and digital discovery in tandem to source must-have products for their stores.
Launched in January 2022, JuniperMarket, a new B2B ecommerce marketplace powered by IMC, has 1,500+ brands with 3 million SKUs signed on to participate. The participating brands, of which 50% are home and 40% are gift, offer buyers tremendous breadth and selection in one place. The first-ever JuniperMarket sales event is taking place this Spring with plans for more events throughout the year. Additionally, Juniper has launched JuniperCredit, offering net 60 terms and up-to $250,000 in credit for buyers and flexible payout options for seller.
Attendees will see a big Juniper presence at the markets with JuniperMarket “Experience Centers” allowing buyers to engage with and register for the new digital marketplace. JuniperCommerce will also host showrooms where suppliers can learn more about the suite of sales and marketing tools.
IMC Acquires Dough to Support Women-Owned Businesses
IMC’s January 2022 acquisition of Dough, an ecommerce platform focused on empowering women-owned businesses, is the first in a series of initiatives designed to emphasize and support values-based commerce and bring new voices and perspectives to the IMC community of brands. Buyers can explore select women-owned brands in pavilions at Atlanta Market and Las Vegas Market this summer and now on JuniperMarket. Dough co-founder and CEO Vanessa Bruce has joined IMC in a newly created role of VP of Social Impact.
