“We’re extremely pleased with the high level of participation for August events,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO. “Thank you to our showrooms and temps for their consistent communication, flexibility, and partnership on strict health and safety measures. The result is a series of summer events with the most comprehensive collection of new products available anywhere.”

Among the exhibitors in permanent spaces are 67 showrooms that are new, expanded or relocated. Highlights in the gift, home, holiday, floral, and housewares neighborhoods include Market Hill on 6 by Paul Michael, Regency, Saro, The Royal Standard, Katie Loxton, Legend of Asia, Unique Loom, Elegant Furniture & Lighting, Crown Linen Designs, Sparkles Home, Kitras Art Glass, Gaucho Sheep and Leather, Eloise World Studio, Cohasset Gifts & Garden, Stanton Gray Wallcoverings, Susan Sales Fine Art, and many more including eight debuts in Gourmet Market.

To help with product discovery given all of the new showrooms, the Dallas Market Center app now features a section of New To Market, highlighting new exhibitors debuting in Dallas in August.

Among the 450 Temps showing across all August trade events, the Temps at Total Home & Gift Market (August 19-22) will feature hundreds of brands across more than ten product neighborhoods. Standouts such as DaySpring, Julie Vos, Mason Jar, Mugsby, O-Venture, Packed Party, Southern Grace, Susan Shaw, Ty, and Wimberly will be featured. As well, fashion resources including Lauren Ferrell Designs, Kinsley Armelle, Entro, and Easel will offer gift and home buyers noteworthy new collections.

The market center previously announced that pre-registration for August markets has accelerated by more than 35% following the recent debut of a new FastPass registration system. The FastPass, available from the front-page of the Dallas Market Center website, is a one-step pre-registration for buyers that delivers an immediate email confirmation and barcode. Recent improvements have made the process of registering for the FastPass easier and the on-site process to enter Market with a FastPass will be quicker and low contact.

Over the past two weeks, pre-registration has accelerated following the debut of the new FastPass — along with encouraging public health news from local officials. COVID-19 cases in Dallas County have sharply declined by 50% over the last month. Furthermore, the latest data show that Dallas Market Center is located in the least vulnerable ZIP Code in Dallas County.

Strict measures are in place to guide all August events. The complete protocols are available via a link on the front page of the Dallas Market Center website. Those measures include existing procedures for social distancing as well as recent additions such as a mask requirement and mandatory temperature check for each person entering the marketplace including all buyers and exhibitors. In addition, the guidelines cover facility operations, registration, food and beverage service, shuttles, employee screening, and other important topics.
