Make your sales boom this summer with these festive oversize firecrackers. Just follow these easy instructions to create your own:
1. Start with the bases. Find three graduated sizes of cardboard cylinders with closed ends. Ours measured 18″, 24″ and 30″t. You can use display pedestals, concrete forms or any other lightweight tubes as long as you can close off one end by gluing on a circle of cardboard. Paint the outside of all three cylinders white.
2. Cover them in stars-and-stripes designs. Wrap the cylinders with festive lightweight plastic tablecloths or wrapping paper. Apply spray adhesive to attach the tablecloths or paper to the cylinders, working in narrow sections and smoothing out wrinkles as you go.
3. Add sparkly toppers. Find colorful star picks, metallic grass and other stand-up accents in your local craft store’s seasonal or floral department. Punch a hole in the center of each cylinder’s closed end, and slide each topper piece through, starting with the tallest items first.
4. Display them! Place the oversize firecrackers on a table, in your window, or even hanging from the ceiling to draw shoppers to your patriotic decor.
